The search for the missing yacht, Nina, which disappeared June 4th in the Tasman Sea, continues.  The new search advisor, Texas Equusearch, (TES) has identified a better way to run the drift models used by the search authority, Rescue Coordination Center New Zealand.

Donations are urgently sought so the search for the 7 missing sailors can resume.

Meanwhile, the prospect of crew survivability are high.  On June 4th, In 1989, Joehn Glennie and three others were hit by a huge wave. The catamaran the sailors were on, the Rose Noelle, was turned upside down. The sailors survived 118 days in the Pacific Ocean near New Zealand.

The sailors suffered untold challenges in finding food, water, shelter, all the while navigating themselves out of trouble.  The Nina crew is likely undergoing the same problems.  It helps to know, long term survival in the seas off of New Zealand has been done before.

You can help bring these sailors home to their loved ones.  Please make a tax deductible donation to Texas Equusearch Nina Fund.  Please do it now while it is fresh in your mind!
